Your first aesthetic consultation: what to ask

A useful start is knowing what to ask, rather than memorising procedures. These questions can make the conversation more specific.

Lidiia Zhuk · Kyiv · A personal approach

Let’s start
with a conversation.

Your concern matters more than a treatment name. You can book a consultation without committing to a procedure.

Start with your concern

Try completing two sentences: “What concerns me is…” and “What I would like to preserve is…”. This defines both the aim and the boundaries of any change.

Seven questions before deciding

What do you see during the examination?

What are the options, including doing nothing?

What effect is realistic in my case?

What are the risks, limitations and possible adverse reactions?

What is the total fee and what does it include?

How might treatment affect my upcoming plans?

When is follow-up needed and how do I get in touch?

Take time to decide

You can ask for clarification and take time. A consultation may end with a plan, a skincare review or a decision to make no changes.
